Hmmm. I just dont want anything to rattle around & eventually come apart. The welds look good so i think it should be ok

Mine has the same rattle and it's harmless as long as the welds are good. The welds on mine look pretty good so I'm not worried in the least. I haven't installed mine yet as I have my car set the way I want it for dragging rights this weekend. I'll put them on in a couple of weeks, but may end up selling them as I now have my eyes on the JPC 3V cast manifold. You guys should have done what I did, after the first excuse I filed a claim. He seems like he wants to make everything right, but I don't wait around giving people multiple chances.

For the people that have the plates, is the side that is flat completely flat for the entire plate? Both of mine become unflush in the middle section. Anybody else's have this?

Concerned that they may have warped during welding? I can't remember what my stockers looked like when I had them out for the JB Weld treatment. I do know that anywhere the gaskets are touching either the intake or the heads need to be flat and in the same plane.

Why tuesday? why tomm? he was suppose to have it DAYS ago correct?

+1 You guys have given him the benefit of the doubt every time. Now it seems as if he is just taking advantage of your niceness. I would not let it go another day. I would file a claim and if he comes through cancel the claim. Again go back to my last post, he promised to have numbers the next days lunch. He hasnt posted anything, not even a reply to anything being said here. You guys need to protect yourselves.

Yes must be flat.

What I thought. Its a TINY little valley area but I can feel it, so i might give it a shot. There is also still a hole in one of them, and the other has a little gouge in the same area so it wasn't completely filled in

I don't want to say the wrong thing in this thread.
If the valley is tiny enough, you can fill it with alittle
epoxy and a razor blade as an applicator.Just an idea.

Ok cool. Does the hole or gouge matter? I would guess since its in the middle of the contact area, not so much. Thanks for the info though.

Car isn't my DD, so if the plates aren't right I at least have another car to get around with

Worth the wait:beer:

If you guys are talking about the casting near the single bolt hole in the center of the delete then you should be paying someone to work on your cars.

Ya know, with all the excuses and crap we heard I wanted to make sure it wasn't some quickie job and wanted to be certain.

I'll continue to work on my car though, but I appreciate the advice

My thought process is IF these were shipped out on last Thursday from UPS then the last day they could possible arrive to me in Atlanta from Alabama is today.....no plates today means I file first thing in the morning.

Chris - you really need to buck up, get on here and get this straight before you lose ALL credibility on this forum.....

I have been all too nice and I can only be that way for so long.

Those o-ring gaskets could start to push out, especially if you're under boost. It might be fine on an n/a setup, but if there's enough room for them to move then you may have a boost leak.

I'm N/A so I'm not going to worry. And when it IS boost time, its a twin-screw for me so I'll just chuck the plates anyway. Thanks for the info though.

Hey Chris, gonna give us ANY type of update at all here?
