Dick is not alone. This for sure. He is however wrong in calling it a Cobra, just like anyone who does.

OP, buy the most expensive car you can AFFORD.

i wouldnt mind Buying a FORD GT .. But this i cant afford , so ill get the car that makes me happy everytime i step out of my house and take a look at it . and not a car that looks sexy and goes like H*ll but when im in it , i know that if anything goes wrong i cant afford it .
So i made my mind up about the GT500 , color seems to be a prob. , cant make my mind up , used to say i want it with what ever color but now that im really gonna get one , this has become a big thing , cuz its something im gonna live with .

Review your budget and decide which one you can afford, but also which one you personally like more.

There will always be someone who more power, more money into their car, faster, nicer etc. BUT if you like your own car and enjoy modding it that's all that should really matter.

Not trying to appease your interwebz friends. :)

Thank you, you took my one line post the EXACT way I meant it. That doesn't happen often on the internet.

There was an article in 5.0 Mag that showed a Kenne Bell 2.8 H supercharger on the new 5.0 and the 2011 GT500 , the dyno results were amazing , to tell you the truth i will never change my mind about getting the GT500 but the 5.0 has got alot of potential as it red lines higher than the Shelby ( GT500 6,250 - 5.0 GT 7,000 ) .

FYI - The GT500 revs a lot higher than 6250. LOL

They can make power with a TS or Roots blower to about 6,600 RPM. Swap to an F1A or another Centri, people have revved to 6,800-7,000.

Also, the 5.0 can rev higher than 7,000 RPM. People seem to be revving to 7,200-7300 RPM.

I would pic the Gt500 just based on reliability.. the 5.0 will be faster with the same setup... just not as exclusive.

Sorry, I don't know much about the new 5.0

7,700 is indeed impressive. Not sure I've heard about all of them being able to rev to near 8K bone stock, but ok. Thanks for the info new guy!
