I have a magnuson on my 2011 automatic. The magnuson is a 2.3L TVS same as the roush - rotors and bearing plate(the silver plate on both) are bought from eaton and are the same. Housing and inlet are made in house at both magnuson and roush. my automatic car with stock airbox(drop in K&N flat panel) and stock exhaust (cats and all-minus mufflers(I run muffler delete pipes) running a 3.9 inch/99mm pulley made 6 pounds of boost and 531 rwhp. Same shop, same dyno a 2011 stick car with a roush 2.3L TVS kit with all stock exhaust and open element air filter running a 3.55 / 90mm pulley (smaller then magnuson - more boost) made 8 pounds of boost (2 psi more than mine) and the car made 518rwhp.

yes they are ugly (different) but they work! look at the E-force and Techo has front inlet and now whipple is making some front inlet designs.

And this if I got was from the designer of the Maggie. I will check see if i still have email from them. They both are tvs blowers but are different. The Maggie has a front inlet and roush has rear. There is some also other difference as well. On their Facebook as well they have a grabber blue one with full exhaust 10lbs only made 540whp.

Who the hell cares about a dyno number, what do they run at the track? I run 10.90s with 410rwhp.

Im sure you have quite a bit of suspension to run those numbers with just over 400whp.

Also there is a HUGE difference between 10.90's and 9.90's that ALOT of 5.0's are capable of with different types of FI. I just dont see a maggie 5.0 dipping in to the 9's any time soon.

Can anybody with a stick shift FI 5.0 tell me their trap speed? Almost all the numbers I see are from auto cars, and those are few and far between. I am hoping to go Kenne Bell 2.8LC real soon here and would like to trap 130+ on 93 octane. Just curiuos as to how some of you guys are running.

Dyno numbers mean much less than mph to me.

Yeah I have aftermarket control arms on the rear. Is that "quite a bit"?

Sure there's a big difference between 10.90 and 9.90. The point was dyno numbers don't have jack to do with it.

I'd be interested to hear whatever else the faux cobra jet above has in addition to the blower. 10.63 tells me they aren't junk.

Do you provide directions for installation of the front cover when it is purchased? Is this what you do when you install a kit for $720?

thats fine for the track but 95% also use it mainly on the streets where there are no slicks, prepped roads, tire warm ups and sometimes you need the power when rolling..

Your car is not stock HP so it must have been important to you just like millions of others.. I always laugh at people that say things like that.

Good ol' Don_W used to say that... why did he leave us

Boy this thread has really gone off topic.

Sure has.

Please leave the tech thread as a tech thread.

ET's don't really have anything to do with the grinding of the timing cover. Let's keep it to the topic and the off topic chatter to a minimum.

Anyone have a pic of the new cover that has been ground? Or the Roush updated pic from their new directions?

I trapped 130mph with almost 50 less wheel than I'm at today. Stock suspension, 1.8 60ft. Decent west coast air, 91 octance with Torco.

I havent seen one of the new covers up close and personal, but I would almost think that you could use the new tensioner and idler pulley instead of the massive and pain in the butt FEAD bracket.

Will be curious if this ends up being usable in the future. Would make belt swaps a little easier.
