Ok. Here goes. I did a quick search but have not found another with this issue.

Recently I installed new BMR adjustable front control arms, QA1 R series coil overs, QA1 camber plates, and QA1 bump steer tie rod ends. In effort to correct the wide track look that the RaceStar wheels make I've adjusted the control arms and camber plates in pretty far, not all the way but pretty far.

The QA1 bump steer tie rod ends will not bring the toe in far enough. The tie rod end bottoms out on the inner rod. Basically I think that because I've narrowed the front track I've reached the inner limit of the QA1 tie rods.

My plan is to cut about 1/2 inch off the threaded end of each inner tie rod allowing me to get the QA1 tie rod in further.

Anyone have this issue? Is my suggested solution doable?

It is not abnormal to have to cut the tie rods, to bring the toe in further, with an application like yours.

Thread a nut 3/4" onto the tie rod, chop 3/4" off....unthread nut, done.
