Hello,

I purchased the 2012 mustang v6 manual. I hear a hissing noise coming from the engine bay when accelerating only. I started digging into it today. I found this rubber connector with anything plugged into it. Do you know what it is used for? Could it be the source of the hissing noise? Note - I have a cold air intake installed (Spectre).
Thank you.

I just checked my Cyclone and it has the same blind boss molded into the intake. It is sealed and has no thru hole. You can ignore it. Cold air devices often cause "hissing" on acceleration it is one of the reasons people like them.
