Glad someone is making the effort to keep old fighter jets flying. Incredibly expensive to do.

Col Bud getting to fly in it again was pretty sweet.

I'm mad this is the first time in a long time when the B-17, B-24 & P-51 were nearby that I missed them flying between locations (I'm basically smack in the middle of their 30 mile jump between airports). I am near Sikorsky so used to helicopter noise, some quite low.. but when the bomber's are coming you know it!

One of the most beautiful aircraft ever conceived - the Hughes H1 Racer:

The Turbo Raven, by Wayne Handley. Imagine a 750 HP turboprop in a small stunt plane like that...crazy.

Love the P-39, didn't do well with our military but the Russians put them to great effect.

You have to love FiFi, back in the early 80s they used to let people tour the entire plane including the tunnel that runs front to back above the bomb bays, I'll never forget doing that.

I have had the luck to see FIFI several times. Like Steve said they use to let you go through the entire plane, it was quite an experience.

Love planes, especially the old war birds. I was determined to be an Air Force pilot and fly an Eagle when I got old enough. That didn't happen lol.

I played IL-2 WWII combat flight sim for several years, I think there is still a pretty big online community for it. It looks great even to this day. You had to have a beast rig to run it will all the eye candy on.

Don't believe I've seen one of these posted, The Hawker Typhoon.

24 cylinder H sleeve valve engine, 2200hp. Always loved this one.

The Typhoon was the predecessor to the Spitfire wasn't it?
