Hey guys,
Recently had a new AC belt put on my 2014 GT. Noticed a whine when I picked it up. After driving a couple days, got a Service charging system, and service advance track. Checked the voltage and it was 13-14 volts driving and dropped to 11 at an idle. Made it home but as I was pulling in the drive, I lost power steering and smoke started billowing out from under the hood. Popped the hood and noticed the alternator was smoking. Has anyone had this issue before? Are all the issues connected? I’m assuming is has something to do with the serpentine belt. Any help is appreciated.

It sounds like the alternator pulley bearings seized up causing the drive belt to rub against it until it snapped. Unfortunately there aren't any rebuild kits available for the Coyote alternator so it seems your only option is to replace it.

While you're in there check the tensioner and all of the other pulleys (all spin freely; no grinding, etc...). If not perfectly smooth now is the time to replace them.
