Never ran the 1/4 or even 1/8 mile stock. I don't think I have my 1st time slips but at the 1/8 mile with street tires and intake and tune I would run 8.8 to 9.4 at 82 or 83 MPH. First time at the 1/4 mile with the addition of LCA and UCA I was in the mid to low 14s at 101 or 102. If you are on street tires with N/A S197 you will be lucky to get 13s on this track.

Laugh at this. When I was stock I never went faster than 101mph. My 60' were 2.0 -2.1. My best et was 13.72 @ 99.5mph with a 8.8 80mph 1/8. Norm was 13.8 -14.2 @ 100 mph.

Not sure about your elevation/track conditions but here in Florida during the summer heat i ran a 8.2@87mph w/ a 1.8 60ft.

Intake/LTs/3.73s/UDP/CMCVs on street tires. Car is tuned to shift at 6500rpms. (Automatic)
Thats a 12.5-12.6 at 108-109mph if it doesn't pull timing.

I never checked the AFR on that tune but it should be good. The AFR on the race tune was about 12.6

The Bamma Race tune should be 12.6 afr that is where Doug found the most power. A little on the rich side but the little 3v 4.6 like ist that way.

During the summer both the 1/8 mile and 1/4 miles tracks D/A is easily 3000' to 4000'. The 1/8 mile tracks elevation is located 1650' and the 1/4 is located 1150'.
High DA is not your allie but HEAT Soak really kills et and most, mph. Here is a little secret to try between runs. Do not leave your hood down, open it. Then break down your CAI from the plenum and take the MAF housing apart from the filter and find a cool place to put it or if you can bring a fan to cool it down. That little MAF is you worst enemy. I have ran 12.50's at 104-105mph and datalogged to show people the impact on et/mph from MAF heat soak. my 1/8 times would be great but the car would absoluty fall on its face after the 1/8 to traps. If the engine and MAF is too hot it will kill the N/A car performance. From seeing your 60' and 1/8 et's they look good for 12.7's but noticing your 1/8 and 1/4 mph are very slow and appears the car is pulling timing. Have or can you hear your knock sensors? If so its pulling timing and datalogging will show it. The race tune should put you in the 30* - 32* range. If it aint there say about 25-26* that is why. Also, if you have just loaded a tune and the car hasn't had enuff time to adjust it will not run it's best. It is good to give it a few minutes to digest the new program.

These are just little OJT's over the years I have learned or picked up from others at the track. You would laugh at how many folks I have helped at the track that couldn't bust 13/s or 12's and tried these tips and boom they got their 12 or 13 second et.

Give er a try it can't hurt.

I would also like to add that Doug once told me that there is no performance difference from 91 tune or 93 tune. And I tried them both and couldn't notice any difference. The performance tune is maybe 1/10 et difference at best.

Thanks for the tips. In between runs sometimes I put my hood up but often I forget. In between runs I will try to remember opening the hood and and removing the CAI from plenium. Regarding the Amazon tune, the tune was loaded about a week prior so the car had time to adapt. I sent Rick a copy of my datalog and I talked to him on the phone. He did say it was a little rich and he would add about a 1.5 degrees of timing. He said this should help. Also, another factor may have been track conditions. It was cloudy and infact when I was leaving it started to rain. Since the sun was not hitting the track and not heat soaking it, I wonder if that caused a slight wheel spin from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd without me realizing?

One last thing and I'll let you go...if you have had an extreme change in weather, for instance a cold front came through and the temp and humidty dropped 30 degrees and humidity went down 20% or more, then went to the track and it seems the car is not running the same times then reload the tune and make at least two passes. My first run after reloading will be the same or a little better but the second and third pass will be by far the best runs, maybe 2-3 tenths better. I don't know why but OAK research who did the PCM software is the OEM firmware developer.
