Anyone had any experiences with American Muscle Wheels? We are buying a set of 20" wheels and after finding out that American Racing wheels has discontinued the 20x10 Torq Thrust shelby replicas, these cam up as on option, but I wanted to get some input from you guys...

Wheels

I have AM Chrome bullitts on mine with the Sumitomos not bad, thinking of changing the look and selling them off. But not a bad package they do not fit big brake packages without a hubcentric spacer.

I bought a set of GT4 wheels from them The price was great. They got to my house in a day and a half. The wheels are lighter and more true-to-round than the authentic Saleen S Type wheels I had.

Go for it...

I got my Black FR500s w/ 18x9s/18x10s and Nitto 555s from there. Got them probably within the week. No problems and good experience

I just got some black 18x9 Bullitts last week from AM. I was disappointed that the stock center cap did not fit in the new wheels, but other than that, they seem like great wheels, of very high quality. They are made by stack racing.

bought my GT4s from them. Stack Racing is the company they use for the past year or so. Much better quality then wheel replica's.

I don't think they are using them anymore. Most of the people I know who bought from them in the past 6-8 months all got product from Stack Racing.

How long ago did you get yours? Maybe, depending on hat wheel style you get, it will come from one vendor or another.

AM is awesome in the customer service department, and their wheels are good. I just don't like the new lip that they have on the newer bullits. The lip on the newer ones is smooth.

Also, AM has free shipping...can't beat that, especially on large, heavy items like wheels.

Well and if you buy your tires from AM as well, they will mount and balance the tires to your new wheels and then ship them to you ready to be mounted.

Mine arrived at like 50 psi so make sure to check the pressure before you mount them.

I had a wheel balancing issue with one of my GT4 wheels from AM, however they did send me a new one out within the next day. So imo their customer service made of for this lack in quality of the one wheel and the other three were fine.

Only problem I had with the 18" deep dish bullits I got from AM were the lugnut wells. Noone mentioned needing a thinwall socket. A regular one stripped the living shit out of them.
