Do any of you run this control ? if so , how do you like it ? how easy is it to instal / use . Do you use the timer feature & if so at what rate do you ramp up your boost ?

I have it and love it. Alot of money for sure and I was sceptical. But I had an Eboost and hated it. Too hard to figure out.
AMS has 2 wonderful features...it very consistent ( works well).....and its very easy to use. That right there is really all you need to know...however
I'll say...I use the time mode. I have a trans brake. It allows you to set a launch boost ( which is how much boost you get on the trans brake) and allows you to wire it so that when you release the trans brake, it removes a signal to the controller and at that moment it goes into the programmed mode. In my case I have no ramp. I have it going right to 15psi. So trans brake, 6 psi, let it go and as fast as the turbo will spool it goes to 15 psi. I'm just at the point that I might be starting to loose traction on the drag radial so for 17 and ip to 20 psi I might ramp it. IOW trans brake 6, let button go 15, 1/2 second later ramp to 20 psi over a 1/2 second period...make sense? Thats what I'm trying next. Actually I might throw 17psi off the brake first and see if it holds because on my last run I softened my rear shocks one notch and it stopped the spinning...make sense
AMS 1000 is the cats meow!

thanks for the info , right now I have a manual boost controler on the car . Wanting to upgrade controler so I can try the trans brake . We went 9.89 on the footbrake with a 1.6x 60' , so we are chomping at the bit to try the trans brake ( want to improove the 60' )

thats fast
how much boost?
Have you put it on the trans brake to see if it will make boost?
The controller puts it DEAD on what ever boost you set it on...but you must get a bottle to get the benifit.
Its much faster than a manual controller ...spools faster...I never would have believed it but it does...It keeps air on top of the valve so no boost reversion leaks and it waits to the last second to open the wastegate

@16-17 psi
makes almost full boost from the time I hammer the throttle till the last amber on a sportsman tree.

On the video of the 9.89 pass you can see we spun out of the hole . If we can control that , we should be in the mid 9's at this boost level . I figure we need a better controler before we turn it up to 27 psi !!!

Wiring it is a bugger. Lots of wires. Under my mounting panel I put some larger disconnects like the use in trailers 9 pin or whatever…so I could remove it quickly while still mounted to the plate ( when needed for maintenance/upgrades/console removal). Here are some pics. I have a template for this mount plate if you would like it.
I left part of it open for access because I have a data logger cable (USB for computer) laying down inside there.
Also the pic shows how I mounted the 2 comtroller solinoids and the C/02 line going to it.

would love to have the template if it would not be to much trouble :clap:
