Im curious about this debate about the IM opening.
You typically want the opening to be slightly larger than the TB (perhaps like 2mm larger), but never want the TB to be any larger than the opening in the IM.

I suspect that this spacer may be designed to create an ideal inlet requiring a larger throttle body. Unless of course it turns out that the Boss IM has a larger opening than we think.

EDIT:
So I looked up the part number for the spacer, and found this:

It appears that it may just have a taper to it, although its hard to tell from the photograph.

There are two spacers. one for stock gt and one for boss IM.
If i can get some calipers ill measure stock and boss IM openings.

The stock and Boss inlet sizes are both 83mm.
