Attention Whipple S/C Owners-Oil Level

My S/C oil level is low & want to add a liitle. Can anyone with a Whipple tell me if this is where oil is added? Manual is vague, tells you it's on the top left. I have nothing on the top left of my S/C, there is an allen bolt on top, is this it?

Looks like it. If you take it off and look in it, everything in there should be coated with oil.

..they must of changed the case or something. The snout on mine doesn't look like that.. The fill plug is all the way over to the passenger side.

Yup, it mine was more towards the passenger side, but that is it.

Yea, same thing why a motor need oil to run.. Keeps all moving parts lubed

OK, will be getting the S/C oil delivered tommorrow so I went out to make sure I had the correct allen wrench. Instructions say: remove -4AN allen plug (3/16" allen wrench). 3/16" is too large, my 1/8" fit, not sure why size is wrong. Main problem arose when I went to loosen, can't break it free! Has anyone ever run into this problem, what are your suggestions. I called Whipple, waiting for return phone call. Could it possibly have loctite on it & heat will loosen it up?

I remember mine being very tight the first time.. I believe I bent the first T-handled allen wrench I used.

What did u do to get it off, use another T-handled allen wrench?

If I recall correctly, I ended up using an allen headed socket. After getting it off that first time, it's never been an issue. lol

The rotors stay dry, and the bearings are sealed, it's for the gears that turns the rotors.
