Info on my car. 2005 Mustang Gt, 208k miles, 5 speed manual,
Brand new battery, within 6 months new alternator
Check charging system light on. My car started having rough starts, it would blow a little bit of smoke rough idle for a second but then it would run great. Put some seafoam in it didn’t really think about it that’s only happened maybe 5-6 times and especially if I hadn’t ran it for a day or two. Then it started almost stalling out if I put the a/c on, died on me once on the highway because I forgot to turn the A/C off before the I took it out of gear. It flashed the low oil pressure light once about a month ago after about a 40 minute drive. I let it cool off and it was good. Then it did it probably 2-3 this week. Anyone have an Idea of what’s going on, i’d rather not go to a shop. Thank you for the help!

When there is a concern that rteferences the PCM in any way and the AC gets turned on it will put extra load on the engine. It does not like that. You said battery and alternator are good within 6 months. Were they professionally tested? Vehicle migh have a water intrusion issue on the passenger side. There is a rubber cowl drain that gets clogged and the water then gets in through where the cabin air filter is. If the drain is clogged the water has to go somewhere. Possibly have water intrusion to the Smart Junction Box. Located behind the passenger front kick panel area.
