So there's a possibility that I move to Australia with work (no I wouldn't be selling the Shelby...it will be stored and started/driven periodically by someone I trust), but I was interested to see what badass Ford I could buy to drive while in Perth, and came accross the FPV website....check out the the SC'd 5.0 in 2 trim levels....lower compression ratio (9.25:1), and not as much power as you might expect, byt they do have a bunch more torque....and that torque comes in low in the rev range and stays flat almost to redline.

Since the power and torque units are quoted in Kw (DIN) and Nm respectively, I've also included a conversion site i found to make the conversion easier to understand.

The car they call the GT also comes with the Tremec 6060 and same double disk clutch as the GT500

Wow that just looks weird and I can't read what the hell the horsepower and torque is.

YAY! A topic I feel qualified to comment on!

Lol. I haven't seen those ones, they hadn't brought that motor out before I left. However if you are going to go the FPV route I can provide advice based on what all our motoring magazines said... Apparently the F6 is just as much, if not more, fun to drive. It's a straight six with a turbo hanging off the side, they go pretty hard, actually have MORE torque than the V8 does...might be good if ya wanna try something different? And as for the GT and GT-P I read you should go for just the GT as they both have the same power but the GT-P weighs more... :)

I appreciate the info. Won't know until mid Oct whether it materializes or not. Perth, WA. would be the place
