what do you think they are... a mt-82? :evillaugh:

lol

I know people that can tear up anything given enough time and practice. There are some pretty quick cars on the stock trans and I figured someone had to hurt one by now.

If anyone has they are keeping it quiet.

This trans seems to be holding up better than the 6L80e in the G8 and Camaro.

So it seems.

Mine shifts just as crisp as new and the fluid still looks/smells like new and I havent been easy on it. I have looked up hard parts and they are pretty expensive, especially the valve body full of solenoids. I wish someone would come up with aftermarket dipstick and tube though, PITA to even take a look at the fluid.

I was worried about burning up the converter clutch fooling around locking it at WOT and was glad to see it was a dual disc.

Yeah, I still haven't figured out how to check the fluid level in mine. How do you check it?

There are no current TSB's for our A6's PERIOD.

You are 100% correct sir :thumb:

That's not entirely true...

There's definitely a TSB on 6R80 transmissions that are in vehicles with 3.7L V6s. Yes I know this is the 5.0L section. See post# 1

There is also a calibration update for the 5.0L vehicles which helps correct the following transmission issue: vehicles equipped with an automatic transmission may experience an idle speed dip, roll and variation in first gear coast or during an immediate reverse engagement after starting the engine. See Post# 88.

Hmm....interesting, works for me I stand corrected. My auto is in the order process, should have a build date of mid may/early june of this year and will be 2012......I would hope it will have the updated programming, but with ford you never know lol. Before I placed my order I checked for tsb's through mitchell on demand and only seen them for the manuals, but tsb's can pop ip at any time really....
