Sold my 06 GT back in '13 or so.
You may remember me as the all N/A car that was running 12.5s on street tires doing 1.81 60' and 12.2x actor going to Nitto R2, although I never quite mastered the R2.
Since then have failed to fill the void that the GT left in my existence haha.
I had a 1999 C5 Auto for live 2 weeks. Got it on a great deal but couldn't do the auto.
Followed by a 2001 Audi S4 TT. Was fun for a little while, but V8 really ruined my view of other cars haha. So stepped up to a 4.2 V8 B6 S4 but the aftermarket was just unrealistic for the gains.
Followed by a 1999 Camaro LS1. 6M. Was fast but outdated and I hated the inside. So bye, bye.
Followed by a 2001 LSD Miata 6M. That car was surprisingly fun but again, after all the aspirations of maybe an LS or Fox swap, I decided to sell.
Followed by a 2000 540i. It was a cheap, "let me see if I like these", buy. I did. May buy another one as a daily down the road,m. No complaints except limited aftermarket.
Followed by a 70,000 mile 2004 2V that I got for a steal back in February. Again, I felt it was just slow and sold it almost 3 days after the title came in.
Fast forward, moved to Florida in April 2016 and 2 weeks ago I picked up a 2007 Mustang GT 5M.
It was left to die in a buy here, pay here dealer in Orlando. It was American Racing Wheels' car back in '09 in some magazine. But like most sponsored cars, it was eventually dumped. Has some "scars" on the paint and a crappy stereo but it only had 30,000 miles so I snapped it up and drives fantastic.
Came with an old Diablosport 1000 Tuner. 20 inch staggered Asanti wheels. Boy racer kit that had seen better days. I'm the 3rd owner so maybe someone here owned it after AR sold it.
Has Maganapacks, K&N intake, high flow X pipe, Progress springs, sways and bilstein shocks and struts. Otherwise the suspension looks stock. Has a roll cage from autosport. Has gauges for the once before installed S/C and nitrous. Has HID retrofits and black matte stripes that have also seen better days. The paint seems like it was intended to look like brushed aluminum but it has several sun cooked spots where sun started to mess it up. And some chips that look like they were from bumping into the car regularly with hard items maybe tools in a garage. I'm not by far a picky person so I own it now and I'm so happy to be back in the 3V world.
First order of business was to wash it and second was to dump the wing which had collected water and rust and started ruining the trunk. Aside from it being pretty ugly.
The rest if the kit I actually enjoy.
Pictures up in a few.
