Issue with aftermarket headlights after attempt to change to auto headlight switch

Hey yall. I have a 2011 3.7 l Mustang that I bought used. The previous owner had installed aftermarket headlights that look like a 2015 mustang light with sequential turn signal and a mimic of HID with a single projector bulb with the shutters. (So far every issue I've found with this car has been due to cheap aftermarket crap parts) Anyhow, I had read that you could get auto headlights by a simple switch swap from the base three position switch to a switch that has the auto position. I popped down to the local junkyard and found a headlight switch with auto and foglight position with the intent of also getting foglights going under the false internet fed assumption that the wiring is already there even if there are no foglights. I found out there is no such wiring, and there isn't even a pin for it on the SJB if there was wiring for foglights. So I went ahead anyhow with the swap for auto lights and it seems that the switch works, but the autolamp on with wipers function doesn't work, and you can't set the exit delay through the menu. Then I noticed something weird with the lights themselves. The left low beam is dead, and both high beams are non functional. I started to worry that I've done something to the SJB so I swapped back to the original three position switch and still having the lighting issue. I tested the bulb and found that it is blown, and with headlights on I am getting 12v at the socket. So the left low beam out was just a coincidence I suppose but I also noticed even with it in park and headlight switch off there is a voltage on both of the headlight low beam connectors around 8 volts. Is that a normal voltage, like to detect a bad bulb? Or, am I now in trouble with the SJB?
