Okay. First, this is over a very small amount, and maybe it's petty, but it's the principle that I care about. I don't want anyone but him paying for this. This is about accountability.
I sold a part to Rpm427sc, he paid, I shipped it. A couple days later I got him a tracking number, and he promptly told me the address I shipped it to is incorrect and I need to get it changed so it can be delivered to the right place. He then included his correct address. I ship everything based off information given to me either in a PM, or in the Paypal payment. I logged into Paypal and verified I had shipped it based on his address in his Paypal account. Which didn't match the address he later gave me. So, no problem. I log onto UPS, change the address, and it cost me just over $12 to do this. It's not a free service. I informed him his address with Paypal was incorrect, it cost me $12 to change it, and I'd appreciate that to be sent over. Meanwhile, his part was well on it's way to the correct address.
Several days go by and nothing. After the tracking number showed delivered, I messaged him to make sure he got it, and then asked again for the additional freight. He said "I can cover it, I'll be home from work on Sunday and be able to log into paypal then." -Direct quote. I never saw it, and that was the last message I have received from him. That was almost a month ago. I've since messaged him twice asking for the payment, and those have been ignored.
I know it's only $12. I don't desperately need it. But I also believe in taking responsibility for your mistakes, and paying your debts. Blowing me off because it's a small amount is not acceptable.
I have screen shots of the new charges through UPS (which I messaged him a pic of), as well as his incorrect address in his Paypal.
