Would it be possible to create a list of all the names of the bad sellers instead of having to read through the entire thread?

I saved the PM's so he doesn't have a leg to stand on. I'm over it, but I just wanted the other members to be aware.
fair enough
yeah, yall are right. next time ill set up a meeting time at 12am with cash in hand....
dude, come on now, IDK what "can you give me till morning" means - that could mean "give me till morning till decide" or "I'll pay for it in the morning" etc.

if you wanted the stuff your message to him should have been "what's your paypal and I'll send you the funds now.

Would it be possible to create a list of all the names of the bad sellers instead of having to read through the entire thread?

Go right ahead

We are at the sellers mercy when we say, "give me till the morning or let me see when I get home". That's almost like going over to the George Cross and Sons Swap Meet in Pomona and seeing something you may want, tellin the seller hey let me walk around and think about it. We don't find it anywhere else for a variety of reasons, maybe even asking ourselves if we really want to spend the money. We go back and it's gone. Someone straight up bought it. Who hasn't that happened to that decided to kick the tires? It's happened to me a whole bunch of times. A buyer with their mind made up with cash in hand is hard to ignore, specially if there has been no formal deal/offer introduced. Can't be mad at the seller, just got to say too bad oh well.

I have waited up on people and it has turned out great most of the time. I have also asked for a seller to hold up for me, I can pay you in a couple hours or sometimes a couple days. If the seller agrees I'm in luck, if not no hard feelings. I always tell them that cash is king though and if someone comes to them with a cash now offer to go ahead and make the deal. Might be first to ask about it and say I want it, but not first with the cash.

I'm not defending nor bashing anyone. I'm just throwing out an honest observation about how most of the classifieds are in any forum are. This particular forum has by far the best classified section. Good sellers far outweigh the bad sellers. So many variables can happen that make a buyer unhappy. Ultimately, we are more than likely buying a used part. Sometimes a new part for a hell of a deal. Maybe from now on we need to include an all sales final disclaimer and supply more pics from buyer to seller showing the exact condition of the product. Also, we as buyers need to research what we are buying. Meaning asking for part numbers and making sure its gonna work for what we need it to.

Maybe a required info disclaimer:

Part:
Year:
Color:
Condition:
Yada:
Yada:
Yada:

Something that will require more info be listed about the part being sold, to protect the seller and buyer

This I agree with completely but it's a different story if the seller has committed to the sale and given his word and then sells it to someone else. When I sell something here and someone says he wants it and I am just waiting for the money. I am not going to sell it to someone else, while I'm waiting for the money, just because they offer more than the first guy.

Earl - but how long do you wait? that's the trouble - I applaued your ethics on it - however if a guy commits and doesn't send payment for 2-3 days, then what.

Well personally if I haven't received payment notice in 2 days I will pm the guy for an explanation and tell him if I don't hear from him it's going back up for sale. I think 2 days is more then enough time, unless something special was arranged in advance. I have also given guys extra time when they requested it in advance for special reasons.

I am usually not in a big hurry to sell something so I am probably a little less demanding then some. I have been lucky with the things I have sold here and have never been stiffed by anyone.

I think the classifieds are one of the better features of our forum and I would hate to see guys start selling here that are not ethical.

The op about hufen should be deleted. I've personally seen him offer ALL of us great parts for great prices. Last year he had a part out much similar to the one he's got going on. You need to realize it can get hard to keep up with so many parts. And everyone fucking knows money talks. Don't be a bitch about it and move on.

Don't be a bitch about it?

We had a solid deal in place. Agreed on a price, a place and a time. I had the money taken out of the bank. I had a shop lined up for install.

Then he turns around and sells them to a higher bidder? He's a scumbag dude. And this was a local deal which should have been easier than shipping them. Hell, if he got a better offer, at least be honest and tell me. I might have paid more. Fucking scumbag liar. I guess I'll just be a bitch about it.

Pay no mind to certain people.

I can guarantee if there was a specific part they wanted to buy, and had the money, shop, etc. all lined up, and was told the buyer wants to keep them but instead sold them at a higher cost, they'd be pissed.

Money talks, maybe for some. If I sold something, and made an arrangement with someone, and a random person offered more, I would let them know I have a deal pending, and if it falls through, I'll report back to them to work something out.

The Hufen post is not going anywhere. For those that read it can take it with a grain of salt. It certainly doesnt mean he is an asshole and he should get banned from the classifieds. Its one person telling their side of what happened. Thats it. Everyone can move along now, as Hufen will still be selling parts to people, and giving them great deals like he has. End of story. Bottom line, its just one persons opionion on his dealings with him, Im sure there are 15 other guys that had perfect dealings with Hufen.

Just out of curiosity, who said that Chris sold the part to higher bidder. All that you have been able to show is that he sold the part to someone else rather than you. Not siding with anybody. I'm just curious.

I will speak my mind of Hufen though. He has a shit load of stuff for sale that everybody wants and he is giving this stuff away cheap as hell. He has his cars worked on at the same place as me. In my only transaction with him, I gave him stock parts I had laying around for aftermarket parts that were worth triple the value of what I gave him. He never tried to get more out of me than what he needed and was perfectly fine basically donating parts to me for free. Good guy in my book.

This is a thread for posting bad sellers. In MY deal, he was a bad seller. I hope every deal that he makes with everyone else is perfect. But since I experienced a bad deal, I wanted to post it.

He has shitloads of parts and stuff that I want, but I wont deal with him again. I don't want to get into a pissing match about the guy, I just wanted to let potential buyers on this forum, know what went down in my deal. That's what we are supposed to be doing here, protecting each other right? I'm sure the other guys listied in this thread had some good deals as well, but if a seller has the potential to be a bad seller, I would want to know about it.

Just for clarification.

http://s197forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=71243

Looks to me he took them off the market, and then sold them to Kingcrabb.

I'm sure he is a good guy.

Thanks for the clarification. I didnt realize that we were talking about a sell that happened a while back. I thought that issue was squashed. I guess not.

Bodam, like I said in my previous post, I was just curious about how you KNEW that he sold them out from under you. I was in no way trying to downplay your post or suggest that it shouldnt be here. I just didnt want Hufen's name to get ruined over speculation.

It's all good guys. Sorry that happened to you.

Yes, this thread is about bad sellers. Which in your case, Hufen is not. Why? Because he never sold you anything. Just take it as a lesson learned, next time you want a part so bad pay right away.

Like mentioned above, he is a great asset to this board with the badass deals he offers. With the amount of parts he has, i can imagine the amount of people that 'arrange' payments or pick-ups that don't come through. I'm not trying to hop on anyones dick here, but i think people are starting to bitch about the smallest things. If this keeps up, the classifieds wont. Which would really suck ass. JMO.
