I contacted him on here a few days ago and i emailed the adress his paypal was setup for im not trying to be an asshole it just seems to me it wasnt an accident and if it was well im sorry and i hope we can get this resolved... 150$ may not be alot of money to some people but being 22 years old money is hard to come by

Ill try his email again and see whats up

I only did this to try to get his attention sorry if it made anyone mad i wasnt going for that guys

you should give him neg iTrader and have posted in the bad sellers thread. it's now merged into that thread

Im just curious as to why in the hell we have all of these threads about bad sellers and then we come to find out you send the money as a gift. You should be able to trust people but you cant. Your asking for trouble if you send money as a gift if you dont know the person. Hopefully this gets worked out. We should have a bad buyers thread.

I'm sorry to sound harsh but this thread really needs to be called..."Bad Buyers"

"Gifting" someone money negates the whole purpose of using paypal...Why not just put cash in an envelope and mail it? I'm certainly not saying anyone deserves to get screwed or condoning it in anyway...It's just that common sense needs to be applied in these transactions.

I mean seriously...people in here complaining about someone's selling price after the deal...to complaining about being burned after "gifting" someone money...to complaining about used parts being damaged that may or may not have been installed correctly...to another complaining about having to pay shipping on a return?

Check references/feedback...Ask questions..Ask for pictures..PAY the measly 4% paypal fee- it's less than sales tax in my state. If something seems fishy...it probably is so you should move on to the next "deal".
These tips should be applied to every single transaction you make.

I think it's about time to really put the screws to the Classifieds section. Require 150 posts, at least four months on the forums with a meaningful contribution history, none of which can be simple shit like "ROFLMAO", appoint one person to be the "Information Man" and require that folks not only send their personal contact information, but also call from a phone so the phone # can be logged and finally, make an information sticky thread about how people commonly scam their targets.

I DO NOT want to see the classifieds section shut down. At the same time, I DO NOT want to make the staff work any harder than what they already do. Hell, it isn't like the Mods get paid to do what they're doing....they do it for free and on their own personal time. They are volunteers. So IMHO, we need to make access to the classifieds section harder to come by so we don't get these fly-by con artists coming in here.

At least make the scammers REALLY work for it.

Take into consideration a lot of people sign up just for the FS or WTB section and then start posting in other threads when they have mods on their car to share or etc.

I got taken by Anthony Bragg for 225 for a pair of nitto 555s and this goof even had the parts to charge me an extra 40 bucks for shipping tires that he never shipped. I am
Out 265. When I tried to open a paypal claim he assured me he would get my rubber to me....then I heard nothing since. This guy is a total dirtbag. Tire iron to the skull. Loser

Yeah he has gotten several members on here, myself included.

Did you open a paypal dispute? I did and was able to get my money back within couple weeks.
