Bama Tune -C&L - Maryland E-tune

I have an 2007 GT with a bama SCT tune and C&L air intake - will I pass the Maryland emission testing or will I have to put back the stock tune and air box?Also I haven't changed the rear gear yet - but was planning on it.Will I have problems with this for emission testing?

you should pass. I have more mods then that on my SGT and Bullitt both passed.

Are you going through maryland emissions or another state?I have read that the bama tune turns off the rear oxygen sensors and this would show up as part of the system not ready during the test?

You should pass. I get inspected in PA(both states are similar) and had no issues when I just had my CAI and tune.

There should be no reason your rear o2s should be shut off unless you have aftermarket LT headers/mid-pipe.

Croft is corrrect. However, you should call Bama. Some tuners will turn off the rear O2's even if the customer does not have L/T or O/R pipe.

I just moved to MD and I don't even want to bother so I'm going to leave mine registered in VA. I just paid for the next two years registration and I don't want to have to pay 3% of my vehicle's worth to the state of MD. I've already paid it to the the state of VA. Goodluck though.

Our Bama Performance and Street tunes have the oxygen sensors left on and will pass emissions. The Race tune, oxygen sensors are shut off and will not pass.

Chris, what performance gains are realized by turning off the oxygen sensors in the "race tune" vs. having them left on in the "street tune"? Mike

Be very careful with doing that. If your physical addy is in MD and your car is registered in VA both states reciprocate information and you can get in trouble. I have seen it before so cover your tracks as best as possible.

MD is pretty strict with emissions but most tunes will pass as long as the OBDII test switch is enabled and rear 02's left on.

i emailed bama today and got 1 response saying mine are turned off because they thought i had a o/r mid pipe but i dont..i have stock mid pipe so my tunes need to be changed..i would check on yours to be sure before u go for ur emissions test..

im waiting now for another response on changing my tunes

unless maryland has changed how they do the testing in the last 2 years you'll be fine with the rears turned off. i had everything emmisions related turned off in my lightning and didnt even have rear 02's in the truck and i passed just fine.

hell i didnt even have a cat back on the truck at the time (it was a mac catback and blew apart and was ran over) they didnt even ask me why it was so loud
