So.........

when is this all going to go down? This shoot out will be awesome.

As far as a definition of a street car, everyone's definition is different which is why its so controversial. Me personally--licensed and insured is not enough, it also needs to be driven on the street, not only to the local cruise spot, but to work, to the mall, where-ever. To be able to idle in traffic without over heating, etc.

That's the problem. Everyone has their own idea what a street car is and its usually to fit their exact car and set up. They will say full weight but are running slicks, skinnys, race seats, rear seat delete and whatever else. If we want to get real picky Mustangs run on gasoline, so E85 would make another category.

I love it! BBR shop gets called out for a 5.0 call out. They counter with a GT500 from a customer. Doesn't BBR have a Hellion 5.0? I mean it has to be nice especially if it can get so many votes at a KOTS competition. Maybe the car is stored with their mythical 80 hp 3v cams I am still waiting to see...

I believe Terry needs to be added to the #5 spot.

I think he'll be running up a little higher than that come April:beerdrink:

And by the sounds of it there may be a few more moving up to compete for the top spot.

As for "Street Legal"
I believe the car should be taken to the local inspection facility and pass all the local requirements.
Basically no Cali car would ever win this honor.
No race fuel for the runs either.
Full interior, AC all that shit.

There are alot of "street legal" cars in my home town that can barely make it around the block without overheating, Huge lift cams, full cages, fucking shutes on the back, and Slicks.

I am racing tonight. I think a bag of popcorn at the track is a must have now.

They also have a TT Boss customer car. Not sure how stout it is, or how well the Hellion kit behaves.

Your e85 argument doesn't hold water. You buy both at the same gas station and both are considered a pump gas. You can buy "race fuel" variants of each as well.

Correctly stated would be fuel that is purchased at a gas station.

I'm sure beefcake will maul them.

Now as far as the hellion kits, they actually work well on the GT500's.

There are 30+ stations within 25 miles of me, three less than 1.5 mikes or so away, its pump here :thumb2:

Let me guess, your car runs E85?

E85 adds a significant amount of power. Not enough to be considered a power adder but it's definately an advantage in this hypothetical street legal rules discussion, lol.

Unless you're getting it elsewhere, E85 at the pump IS "pump gas".

Besides, what's to stop them from driving it in with actual race gasoline in it? They could even drive the car to the track. They probably have drums of the shit at their facility. Are they going to be testing the gas before the races? Unlikely....
