I agree even though it's nitpicking a little. I live in south jersey n there r 2 stations within 60 miles of my house with e85 one of which never has it....FTMFL! Furthermore, and this is just my opinion n am putting my flame suit on for it, but this whole street car thing is getting a little carried away. I think what Cruz's car, beefs car etc have done is fucking amazing. As technology gets even greater who knows in 20 years we could be looking at 7s as the norm for full weight "street" car. But in reality, let's face it, these are race cars. Yes u can drive it without overheating, yes it's vin'd, yes it's full weight, but it's a race car. These cars are in a different class than a tubbed, 2500-3000 lb race only car, but they are still race cars. The only difference IMO between the two, is it takes a hell of a lot more money to do the full weight version....begin flaming. Oh n beef again, fucking congrats man.

In Texas, it's easy to tell a street car from a race car.

Street cars have A/C.

Not trying to bash at all, but what do you consider a street car then?

Maybe I'll just have to drive my "race" car the 8 hours from OH to GA for this race......

I drive my car a decent amount. Not as much as others, but I have another car, my wifes car, and a motorcycle I really enjoy driving.

That said in 2 1/2 years the car has about 10500 miles on it. Right about 4k miles a year averaged. Considering I have 2 other vehicles that I drive, that's splitting them about even.

Obviously, I don't like to drive the car in the snow and rain, same goes for the motorcycle, but its not uncommon for me to jump on the bike geared up to head into work in 30 degree weather.

Yes, the car has a cage and a chute for safety. That doesn't make it quicker though. It would be quicker without the added weight. I still have removable door bars that are only in for the track.

I drove the car to and from the hotel 2 of the 3 nights in FL, and to the hooters cruise.

When I went the 9.03 last year, that was an hour drive to the track, 9.03 same way I drive in.

Then a detoured 1 1/2 hour drive home.

I always offer rides to people just so they can see how good the car drives.

I think the thing may very well be to drive to Atlanta......

And again, thanks for the props guys.

Lol. I'm not taking anything away from the accomplishment beef. It is amazing n will go faster I'm sure. Those hacks at Bbr couldn't get there 1k HP car down the track let alone run a 8.7x. I guess I just don't consider a car that is a purpose built track car a street car....although u probably don't consider urs a purpose built either. Oh well strip 750 lbs out of it and go even faster. Good luck.

Fuck bbr. They really do suck. They tried screwing me over with my Hood, and tuned my car like crap on my manual that kdanner fixed the tune, and on and on.

I planned on going to Atlanta to watch already. Now I have even more reason to go. To watch bbr get dragged down the track.

And the fastest hellion car they have hit 9.8. A customers car, with built engine and tt. So not impressive at all.

I will be making vids.

I've learned quickly that it doesn't matter how much money you put into a car or how much HP it has (don't get me wrong.... it does help) but its the driver that has to get to the 1320. Many of the guys listed on here are just some damn good drivers.

THis is why the street car thing gets so controversial, because everyones idea of what a street car is, is different. But with full weight, and the fact you have driven it 10,500 miles in 2.5 years, I don't see how your car could not be considered a street car. So it has a cage and a chute---as you point out for track purposes, doesn't affect the street ability of the car at all. If your chute is like mine, the chute can come off in seconds anyway.

When I thought of my car as a street car, it had the 3V with the whipple, could lay down 10.5xs to 10.60xs, drive to work (64 miles one way), drive to the track (90 miles one way). Your car can do this and more, and is 2 seconds faster in the 1/4. A hell of an accomplishment if you ask me.

Just a quick question ?
I read on this Thread that is was mentioned that BBR is no longer on S-197 as a Vendor.
Is there a Thread about why they are not ?
Or maybe a simple reply as to why they are not?
I did not realize until reading all these Post they they were looked at in a negative way.

Terry

BTW,
Maybe I just found out the reason on (Search).
