I talked to Chad and I'm sold. I had some really decent 60' times there a couple weeks ago on just the motor, I would like to spray and see what I come up with.

Doug,
I did find a photo that shows how the car sits with the springs installed. Not a real good angle but think it will help visualize it better than words. I think it sits perfect.

BMR springs and Lakewood 90/10 struts and 50/50 shocks.
A few of us are running this combo now, and once you try it you wont use anything else.

Have you driven the 90/10 on the street? If so how do they hold up?

I have the 50/50 and am considering the Strange Adjustable Struts or the 90/10.

It wouldn't bother me to drive from coast to coast, the way it sets in the pic.
As a matter of fact I've driven it quite a bit. I live out in the boonies and it's 20 mile to the carwash.

Well I would like to say Thnx to Chad as he installed my new BMR Progressive rate springs yesterday. Car looks great, love the stance, now I need some track time to test the new launch ... LOL

You gotta atleast post the pics....:asshat:

And they are not progressive. They are dual rate.

120/160 R
120/165 F

This means that, the 160 and 165 are technically a linear working rate...because the 120 rate is already working when the car is just sitting. The 120 rate is the softer part of the spring that collapses with suspension loaded, and acts as a "spacer" to help determine the ride height. There are a few reasons we chose to use a dual rate instead of a progressive or linear fixed....with shorter free height.

Here is a pic from Columbus as well. The car is 100% stock suspension except for BMR rear springs we installed before the event. The 60' times went from a previous best 1.76 to a new best 1.60 and we are still testing. I can say they do the job even for an auto car as well!!

NMRA BG we pulled 1.59 60's on several passes. On one launch Chad (GT350-R) said the front left tire lifted, all with just BMR rear springs! Again the rest of the suspension is 100% stock, great product!

Still searching for a photo that will show the air but this one does show how well the car transfers. Sorry for the bad photo!

Another VERY popular combo is the BMR Spring / Strange Adjustable Shock-Strut combo.

The Strange shocks/struts (all 4) are less than $500.

That's what i'm leaning towards. Chads car has been proof enough that they work having seen it with the Pro Kit (what I currently run) and the BMR set up....however I know the 99-04 Adj. Strange Struts are notorious for being alittle on the noisey side as far as the valving inside is concerned. Is that the same case for them on the s197 chassis? I'm assuming they use a similar internal design.
