Congrats Chad! You're running the same times as my car with a blower.
Thanks,
In a way ,I wish I had not lifted and hit the breaks on the last pass. I was really wanting that 11.90 pass, but the championship was more important at the time. Dave has the tune, dead on the money. He deserves the credit, on the power the car is making.
Kelly (BMR) and Dave (DAVAD Motorsports) do all the hard work. All I have to do is drive my car.

You forgot the best part(s)!!!

What parts did I forget? Mickey Thompson Pro Radials?
Oh shit! I added the BMR Dual Rate springs on all four corners to the list.
And your right, These springs are the best parts I've installed.

Chad,

First off I want to thank you for all the compliments very nice of you to say. But my part in this whole thing is very small, your the reason you will be sporting "SST 1" next year, dont forget it. I think Kelly (BMR) will agree, the foundation is good to have but for you to "shift" your way to the championship is your doing alone. That in itself is remarkable considering I remember someone telling you, "you will never win this class in a stick car". Hmmm,, hope he isn't choking on those feathers right about now. LOL. Then when you look at the entire year and you only missing less than a handful of gears for the amount of passes you made,,, awesome. Not to mention your ability to cut the tree down with .030 or better consistently and even .006 or better when it really matters.... Again how awesome is that and very hard to beat! Mix that in with you knowing what the car will do in the weather,, perfect combination.

Now lets look at your attitude. I don't think anyone doesn't like you, how can they not! Your wiliness to help others is model for the SST class. Whether its helping to rebuild a rearend in the pits so the guy can get back on the track (Chicago). Or turning around driving back to take the alternator off "your car" and install it on a SST competitors car (Larry Firestone) so he could make it home with his car.. How can the story be any better??? Well maybe if you would run a new personal best,,, wait you did that on the brakes!

It has been fun watching and being involved in it all and thanks for letting me. What a ride the past year has been but this is all you. Proud to have raced with you and call you my friend.

Awesome job again Chad, you da man!

Well put Dave, it could not be said any better.

People like Chad are rare these days, as a person AND a driver.

I think SST is very luck to have such a great racer.

BMR Suspension Inc. Congratulates Chad Wendel (GT.350-R) - 2012 NMRA Super Stang Champion!

Of course, I must throw this in.... Chad had a chance to get his FIRST 11-Second timeslip on his last run this weekend, but slammed on the brakes to a 12.0@97!!!!!!!!! In an effort to win the semi-finals, in which he lost, he gave up his 11-second slip. It will come soon enough though.

As a rookie in the class this year I have to say it was one of the best racing experiences I have ever had. The whole SST class is good people and the championship could not have gone to a more deserving racer. Chad was one of the first people to talk to me and as a fellow hard core stick guy we got along from the start. In Joliet he saw me make a huge rookie mistake which would have caused me to be DQ'd and called me on it before it cost me a trip to the semi final. Had a great time hanging with you guys at the last couple events and hope to have another stick car in the top 5 next season! 11's will be yours for sure, just gotta run 11.91 to take the title from the limer!!

congrats.

I would have liked to test the waters in columbus in sst before next year but if you saw my car run down there (well not really what I'd call run but it did get down the track on a b/s tune) then you would understand why it was sitting in the vendors midway all weekend I guess.

Kelly & Mike Wilson have been great getting me thru the crap though & the decals are here for the car already for next year to hopefully give you guys a run for your money.

enjoy the win & good luck on the 11's.

Congrats!! Love your car. Is there a thread about the nmra sst class and how it works. Yes I searched. Id like to know more and maybe even try it. Is it specific to one track or do you have to travel to different tracks? Im in colorado and bandimere is the track I usually go to.

Yah, the NMRA is ran through out the eastern half of the country. We travel to 7 states and compete in a series.. It's a little far to travel, but its a lot of fun
