This is the one I was thinking of...

I had the Power Steering Cooler installed in my GT - fits great and should make a significant difference in cooling at the road courses.

5th gear boosting

Looking for opinions on boosting in 5th gear. I’m not sure if I’m going to get my gear change done before the track weekend (May 1&2). With my current tire & gear, I can reach a maximum of 117 mph in 4th gear (@ 6250 rpm). In a supercharged car it really doesn’t take long to get to that speed exiting a corner at say, 45-50 mph.

Will boosting into 5th gear be too much stress? I’m currently making 7 psi. 5th gear would pose an extreme sustained load on the engine while aerodynamic loads rapidly increase.

Thanks, and living in a front-plate state sucks...

My car weighs WAYYYY too much to start with! I'll scale at the first event this season, but last season it was 3691 with full fuel and all 160lbs of me in it. I'm allowed to get down to 3450, so I have a way to go... New lighter wheels, a lighter fascia (stock) and grille are a start but it'll take some gutting to get down to minimum weight.

Weight reduction is my next goal also. I don't need anymore HP right now. I am going through a set of pads at every event.
