Yellowstuff had terrible dusting when I had stock brakes, however it washed off very easily.

Bluestuff, as I understand it, is not a dual-purpose pad. It is EBC's first foray into a race-only pad.

...and that is why i will stay away until i can get some real world feed back from those that dove in and used them on the track.

am actually looking into the hawk blues or the hawk ht10's.

I would recommend Hawk HP+ pads. I use them as dual purpose track and street pads. They are noisy and squeal until they are warmed up.

i have the hp+'s and will be replacing them with HT10's, my car does not get much street action. maybe 50-75 miles a month.

Are you running the stock GT front brake package, or an aftermarket? If you're running the stock setup, you might want to think about running a split compound front and rear... Step the rear down one notch from what you want in front, it'll give you a little bit better balance, and hold off ABS activation a bit. FWIW, for less-experienced track drivers, I usually recommend starting with HT-10 front and HP+ rear, but if you have more experience you might want to step up to DTC-60/HT-10. That's a solid package.

not sure who your addressing, but i do run the hp+'s at the rear. my ht10's are on back order promissed to me in 2wks (sucks). i have plenty of experience (4+ yrs), but my 1st complete year in a mustang (very different from the miata, VW, and 350 i ran some years back). got to say i really like my stang. and for all intensive purposes the brakes work just fine. may be the last thing that i actually change, unless a great deal comes up.

Has anyone had more time with the blues? I'm thinking about HPS all around, but they may not last long on a road coarse. After searching I found this thread, and it sounds like Yellows would be best, but still lame at the track. I wonder if anyone got to play with the blues?

I have stock gt brakes, going to order new rotors and motul 600. I would really prefer to have dual purpose pads rather than swapping them out. I plan on doing one Road coarse event this year, 2 or more auto-X and at least one drag strip visit.

HP Plus squeal like a dump truck coming to a stop on the street. They don't quiet down until they get to track temperatures.

I experienced the same thing with these pads. I wound up throwing them out before I wore them out because of the metallic squeeling - sounded horrible on the street.

I would recommend Hawk HP+ pads. I use them as dual purpose track and street pads. They are noisy and squeal until they are warmed up.

HP plus are a great pad, but they are brutal to rotors and as mentioned they squeal very bad on the street when not up to temp. What about the Baer pads? Does anyone have any experience with those?

^ I have Baer Brakes, Rotors and Pads. The Pads are great along with the everything else. I ran HP pads in the back however and they squeal louder than a grenade in bed when there not at temp or wet. With the HPS pads they also leave brake dust. I just bought myself some Hawk ceramics and will never look back they are the best no dust, not as killer on rotors and stop better than the HP

I switched to Hawk Ceramics from HP +'s and it was a big difference as far as brake dust and noise, not quite as much initial bite but very fade resistant.

Yep, I run Baer ceramics upfront with there GT- Plus calipers as well as Hawk ceramics pads on the back with stock calipers, with baer drilled and slotted rotors and they have saved my rotor live alot more

EDIT: I miss read your post Germezzy, my fault. But I will second you on your motion on Ceramics

One set of HP plus pads started to mar my Eradispeed rotors and the Hawk ceramics not only had no noticeable brake dust but other than a little bit less initial bite were better in every way. Granted it was on a lighter car than the Mustang but I never had any brake fade even from repeated 140 plus mph stops.
