Brake Question

Putting new brake pads on my 09, usually one of those friggin clips flies off the pad, I can put it back on but it just flies off again. Can each pad do without one or are they " anti-chatter clips" or something? thanks

I hate those things. I normally just take them off. They are designed poorly to stop the pads from rattling, but I've never had a problem with that.

i took them off and put a LOT of brake grease in the slides because the pads started squiking. it worked well.
