Serial Valve Dropper
I picked up a set of Prothane motor mounts and installed them Friday. I have awful vibrations between 1500-2000 RPM, and any time the engine bogs and falls under 750 RPM. I had these mounts in the past, and they were so much better then. The car was stiffer and there was more NVH, but nothing like this. Last time I had these, I had 127500s and it wasn't this bad. I've already tried loosening the mounts and sliding everything around, but the vibrations remain the same. I saw some threads that said to check the balancer, and it seems fine to me. My stock mounts are completely shot, so I don't want to put them back in, and I would rather keep the Prothanes if I can get this figured out.
Any tips or tricks? I plan on loosening the motor mounts and trans mount up tonight and firing the engine up, letting everything settle where it wants, then torquing it all back down. Good idea? Bad idea? Should I just burn this car to the ground?
