I think I'll start a little more crap here.
If you didn't run the red light in the first place, there would be no need for the court fight. Saying the guy that didn't program the computer didn't testify is EXACTLY like saying the guy that made the bullet that killed you didn't testify, so how can you convict some guy of murder?
Jeez, take some responsibility for your actions.
And while we're at it, let's blame this on rap music.....

Hahahaha. Here we go again!
Regarding the light, it's not just running it you have to worry about. If you roll into the cross walk just a little bit the camera will go off. At least by my house. We gave cameras on almost every light.
That's pretty much the same as rigging any game to get the results you want. If you aren't on a level playing field somebody's cheating, and that isn't right.
I hear you on the roll-through, but the picture will tell how fast you're going and will be obvious what direction you're heading if they're turning or coming to a stop. Those folks have a case, and the company sending out the photo should be doing some review prior to mailing it. I think the sensible thing there is to back charge the company doing the cameras for court costs, then they'd get their act together.
But I'll still blame it on the rap...
BTW, I was in NYC a couple of weeks ago and they have big boxes striped off at the intersections. If you don't get all the way through there are cops standing there (3 per intersection, at least at 4:30 PM) just waiting to write you a ticket. Not sure about the fine, but it's worth 2 point out of 12! There is also a sign for a $250 fine for blowing the horn. They just walk up and write you while you're sitting there.
