Obama SUCKS!
As the title states. What I'd be looking for:
1. Quality components. Don't have to switch shit out to make the kit good.
2. Ease of install. Fitment should be easy.
3. Reliable performance! Proven street-ability and drive-ability for a DD Mustang that sees occasional track/strip use.
4. A quality, smaller turbo with billet wheel to spool up faster. 600hp would be fine for me. Prefer to NOT have to get too involved with the fuel system. Self oiling would be nice as I don't much care to tap my oil pan.
Conversely, if I went with a Supercharger, I'd have the same expectations. I like the Roush 2.3L TVS, but it's spendy.
5. Price. I'm on a fixed income being disabled. The VA pays OK for 100%, but I have two kids in college. Even though they have VA education benefits, it's still an expensive proposition. Also, you wouldn't believe how much money I have to spend on medicines, doctor co-pays and gas to go to all of these appointments.
If a vendor could work a deal for a Wounded Warrior, I'd be willing to pimp their name on my car, brag about them everywhere I go, I'm one hell of a salesman!, whatever. I ain't doing sexual favors though. Unless she is a really nice looking redhead.
I've been talking about getting a 2014 GT500. My wife has even said I could. But with things being what they are, I won't be able to afford one. My benefits are going to go down here very soon due to various reasons the main one being my daughter is graduating this year and won't be considered one of my children any more. That puts a huge dent in my pay. If my son decides to go into the Army, I lose even more.
My current Mustang is the funnest car I have ever owned and I've already done a lot to it. I know it inside and out. This car is a large part of what keeps me motivated and helps me to keep my spirits up despite all my health issues. This isn't just a car to me. It has been a life saver. That may sound overly dramatic, but it's true. When you have a brain injury plus PTSD, and you cannot work to keep yourself busy, you HAVE to focus on something to keep you active and positive about life. And right now, I need to up my game on this Mustang to keep myself going and to meet my goals of getting involved in racing it. Not serious racing like going pro, but just racing myself for better times.
So what I'm requesting is basically this. I would like a good price on a kit that won't blow my motor. Turbo or Supercharger. If a vendor has a special deal for veterans, then I am graciously requesting that I be considered for a low price on a good kit.
Thanks in advance for even considering this.

P.S. I would be willing to travel to a shop to have a kit installed and tuned if we could work out a good deal.
