We have some shitty alt's. Seems to be a common problem.

Actually, it's a common problem with the mod motors, not just on Stangs. I think it's due to the location and the amount of heat their exposed to. Every Ford vehicle I've owned with a mod in it, e.g. F-150's, etc., I had to replace the alternator. Now, I haven't had any issues with my Mustang so I'm new to this particular fault code... but it makes sense now that it's explained.

Did the alternator fix your bucking problem? Mine is doing the same thing right now but everyday. At lower rpm with steady throttle input. definitly in 5th gear crusing on the hiway, you can hear a light pop or backfire with steady throttle...

They ran the test this morning that the TSB suggest. And it failed. So I'm 99% sure that was my problem since I was throwing the code that the TSB mentioned. I probably won't know till tomorrow or Friday since I have some other stuff getting done also.

I cant wait to hear what he comes up with from the shop, its really sucking trying to mosey around town and it looks like my car is trying to bunny hop. I checked on my csps code and that turned out to be a loose connection on the sensor. the check eng light went out but still buckin...My ole man said its suppost to do that its a Mustang.. smartass:nk:

What do you have done to your car? I noticed you said that you bought new plugs. Did you gap them properly? I know when I got my motor swapped out, I had my shop replace the plugs. They forgot to gap them and the car bucked and ran like shit. They realized what they had done, gapped them, and it ran perfect.

If not that, they my money is on the alternator. When it goes out, it throws codes for all kinds of random shit that "could" be wrong. 99/100 times, it is the alternator.

It just seems weird man. It seems like a fuel problem. I can watch dvds all day with the car off & fires right up. Nothing else weird is going on just the bucking as far as mine goes. waiting to see what sir finds out from the shop
