I'd like to see your setups. I'm tired of messing around with my dual-small-bypass setup in my FMIC Vortech car.

Seems like no matter what I do, I can't get rid of blower surge on decel or cruise at 2500+rpm. It blows past my MAF, which is causing the voltage to jump around and the car to run pig rich on cruise.

I've switched out the Bosch bypasses for aftermarket metal replacements, but it only made it worse. Car has an AFM powerpipe, which probably isn't helping since the MAF is closer to the blower inlet than the stock Vortech plastic piece.

Please post pics if you can, and how its working for you.

Thanks.

I had a feeling you'd have issues with those. Sorry for your troubles.

Mondo, baby. I have mine welded into the pipe coming up from the air/air aftercooler, and it goes back to the air intake, directly in front of the blower via a big pipe. You have to be careful not to pipe it such that the return air goes back toward the MAF... that'll confuse it. This isn't the prettiest setup in the world, but it works with the 17 psi I'm making.

BTW, that head unit is off the car now... have a polished Si trim now, and that catch can is gone too, in favor of a catch can/breather setup. Power Pipe and blow-through setup with blow off (not bypass) coming soon.

Between Vortech discharge and air-air intercooler inlet; used a GReddy 40mm type R/S, with bolt-olt fitting welded to the pipe.

I'm having similar issues with mine. I'm gonna have to invest in a similar setup

Beautiful car you have.

Actually I just reinstalled the factory Vortech inlet and Bosch bypasses and it runs like a champ now. Guess my car just didn't like the powerpipe.

For sale: Slightly used AFM Vortech/Paxton powerpipe. :)

Yeah i heard you have to remove or relocate the bypasses with the power pipe systems...it messes with them and the MAF. I read it in a magazine or on their website.

My car runs fine with the current setup just could use the extra relief when I up the boost in the future.... But now my girl wants me to trade it in for a newer one so I'm not sure what I'm gonna do.
