I plan on driving the wheels off of mine.
If you ever get to the Orlando area, look me up and I'll let you take her for a spin. Bullitt owners have to look out for one another.

M90 on the stock roush tune no other mods makes around 360 to the wheels.

Yes.... which is why I said "at the motor". I was basically agreeing that his Bullitt with 468 at the wheels should pull much harder than a pullied cobra.

My car makes 500 rear wheel horse and to me it feels limp. The speedometer goes up quickly and I know its a fast car but doesnt have the same feel as the older fox boxdies. Maybe the cobras are the same. I have been wanting an 03 or 04 for a long time.

I personally think you downgraded to begin with. I will never get the aura that Terminators have around them.

Haven't done anything yet, the bullitt went because my wife is going back to RN school and we had two large car payments, we combined them into one car. In the meen time I am driving my company truck back and forth. I am going to get something else and have always liked the termis, this is just the first modded one I have drivin. The draw to the termi I think is it's easy to make over 500 hp on the stock motor rarely safely.

I had the opportunity to choose between either a Termi or my S197 when I bought it and no matter how much jam the Termi's make, their chassis and interior is so inferior it wasn't even an option. My winter beater is a 2002 SN95 Rag top V6 and I want to drive it off a cliff every time I take it.

2002 would be a new edge car. If I would have to choose between a S197 or a 03/04 cobra, I'm cobra every time. That's just my personal preference, but I do love my GT. But how can you not like a car that looks like this?

Right, SN95 encompasses anything from 1994 to 2004. They are all the same chassis and to be frank, they were basically the same chassis since 1979. And I still respectfully dissagree. I never said the New Edge cars were ugly (I bought one remember?), but the 05-09 S197's are better looking.

I'm still looking, it amazes me that in Florida I can find lower mileage verts for 3 to 4 k cheaper than the coupes. I'm just not sold on a vert

Too damn hot for a vert in Florida. And the sun will destroy the top quickly so upkeep costs are higher.

The first terminator I drove was a friends convertible and I loved it. It looked amazing as well. I'll see if I can dig a pic of it up somewhere

Found it

I agree, the sn95 body style just doesn't have the snap of the s197. And combined with the crappy Pinto body it never held any appeal for me at all. I try to be polite when people are discussing how much they love their old Fox bodies but I cannot share their enthusiasm.

To be fair, Pinto based Stangs were only the Mustang II's (74-78 I think). 79-93 was Fox-4. I still love Foxes and have a 1983 GLX Rag Top my father bought new in 83. Personally, 1971-1978 Mustangs could be wiped from the face of the earth and I would not miss them one bit.

The things i would do for a 71 Mach 1 or a 78 King Cobra II. I love those cars but i do admit '74-'78 were some dark years for the mustang.

I hated that 78 cobra so bad. Love the 87 through 93 stangs Didnt like the 86 down four eyed ones. Prolly had 30 of the 87 to 93 body styles.

I'll chime in as a former Cobra owner, and the owner of two blown S197's.

Cobra > S197 GT in almost every way, except for comfort and features.

I do not see a properly driven Cobra losing to a 360ish RWHP GT.

I raced dozens of different types of Blown 3V's when I had my Cobra (Still had my GT at the time I had my Cobra too) My Cobra would pull steady on all of them. Granted, it was not "rape" by any means, but a Cobra's 3rd gear is very long and pulls very hard.

It takes a blown GT with supporting mods to realistically beat a Pullied Cobra with an experienced driver.

Give you an example of an inexperienced driver. When my Cobra was stock, with just suspension (Road raced car) I ran a KB Cobra putting down over 600 RWHP, and it weighed 100lbs less with the driver. Long story short, after 4 consecutive runs, each time was no more than 3/4 of a car. Cobra's are not easy cars to drive, they are very rough, yet forgiving if you miss gears and grind.

I love my S197 GT's, and would never go back to a Cobra since they are now outdated, and the 5.0 is the way to go, but, I will still acknowledge that performance wise, they beat the S197 dollar for dollar, and mod for mod.
