Ride Along in Big Papa!

Testing out my new video sunglasses this past weekend in Ocotillo Wells doing some TNT for next season in the Class 1.

The video is obviously not awesome but for $100 set-up - not bad and easy to use - just put the sunglasses on...lol

This was some snipits of a 2 hour shakedown run in Big Papa...

8 sec thrill ride or 3 hour non-stop rush... what do you think?...lol

I have raced boats, cars, bikes, circle, oval, dirt, and track (1/4 & course), and nothing compares to offroad in a trophy truck or class 1 IMO...:boobies:

That video brought back some fun memories. I used to ride out in Ocotillo Wells when I lived in San Marcos.

Great video. Thanks!

Now you guys know why I haven't been to the track in the killer that much lately...lol I' am at the desert every free weekend I can get.

FYI - in the beginning and end of that video - the car is going around 119mph...:chainsaw:

I was just testing the glasses and will mount the good camera next time and get some footage of it flying 60' jump spans...:boobies:

I never got the pleasure of a Class 1 ride or a Trophy truck, but I used to take my street truck out there all the time. There is a hill out there that is real steep on 3 sides and a narrow opening to an opening a the top that we used to go camp at at night. Someone had taken the street sign from Hollywood and Vine and posted it right at the opening.

I used to volunteer pit crew for a guy out of Barstow back in the 90s. He ran Class 9 sand rail, then moved to Class 16. The class 9 was a blast to drive out there, I can only imaging the Class 1. This is the biggest thing I miss since I moved to Texas from San Diego.
