Cost for a total head job? 3v

So my shop called me today, guess my valve guides are shot and the word is that all the machine work and new parts would probably run me 1800. I don't know shit about heads, is that a fair price? Mentioned something about having to get new valve parts because new guides and worn parts might not close square so new valves, guides and a full valve job.

I mean shit new ported heads brand new would be 1800 fully assembled lol?

Would you guys just buy a new set or have the work done

I answered you in your WTB thread, in a nutshell, find a new shop I'm assuming your doing your own labor, if not, add a significant amound to that new ported head price your using for comparison
