Is the AEM filter really any better then a Motorcraft though? Only advantage really is reuse I would think?

The stock intake works great for the street. The JLT or Steeda will give you gains at the track. If your cooling down between runs, and looking to get the most out of your combo, you will see an e.t. gain.

We have great deals on the JLT stuff if you decide to go a plastic / painted / or a carbon fiber intake
