A while back, I created a thread asking for general feedback on purchasing an '07-'09 GT500 vs. a '13-'14 Coyote.

I'm thinking about possibly trading the Yellow Blaze and my inherited '04 Cummins (as I can't seem to sell the damn thing) and buy a new Mustang.

These two showed up:

The Shelby has said "sale pending" for about a week now, so I'm waiting on a call back to get an update on it.

The obvious advantage to the '14 is I get to keep all of my current mods. What do you guys think?

Wait until you sell the truck, keep your current car.

Use money from truck sale to buy VMP supercharger.

The other reason I was thinking of trading is that I'm about a year and a half into my loan and I'm at 101,xxx mi. But yes, one of the end results of selling the truck is because racecar.

Maybe a nicer GT500 would tip my hand in that direction.

I know I love the solid white + stripe delete. Absolutely gorgeous. I agree, Ryan, the my '11 is way more comfortable than my '08 was. Even on Sportlines.

I'd say Coyote, the 05-09s are missing a couple of features from the late S197s that make it an obvious choice for a DD.

You can get a nicer 5.0 for about the price of that Shelby, way lower miles as well.
