Went make a few runs tonight and it sure was an intresting event.
First off, I get the car ready (load up drag equipment and take out useless shit) and have to take care of some buisness and personal things before heading that way.
On the way to the track I meet up with a C6 vette, so we do a couple quick runs.
1st run we go from 60-120 I turn off OD and he gets about half car jump and stays there.
2nd run we go from 50-120 I leave OD on and pull about 1 1/2 cars on him and still pulling away when we shut down.
Right after we finished the second run we slowed down to cruising speed and meet up with a cop coming from the opposite direction (that was a close one)
well after 3+ hours on the road I get to the track about 10 min. before the gates open, and meet up with a old co-worker that I haven't seen in a while, so we start talking and he is planning to run a "sportster" that he said runs mid 11's and he added a launch control to it recently.
The gates open, find a spot and start changing tires,co-worker pulls up next to me and starts getting his bike ready.
After I change my tires,I start reloading tune, I hear co-worker warming up his bike, next thing I feel the car shake, while setting the launch control, the bike takes off with him on it and glances off the back bumper on my car and falls down.
Me and a couple people jump to help him and there'sblood shooting out his right leg calf area. (same side that hit the car)
get the bike off him, wrap his leg with towels and ice to stop the bleeding until paramedics get there.
Ended up breaking his leg and one of the pegs went into the calf muscle DEEP.

OK now it's time to make some runs, since last time I added the 3.2 pulley and 60 lb. injectors to the car.
Before, with the 3.4 pulley and 39 lb. injectors I was running 11.6's pretty consistant. and trap speeds in the 115-116 range
Tonight best I could do is 12.0's with traps in the 113-114 range.
I know I'm losing some time in my 60',(better tires may help that)
but even losing .1 in the 60' shouldn't lose nearly 1/2 sec.
All in all it wasn't a great night for me, but I still drove home so it wasn't bad either.
Supposed to go run again this weekend (with new tires this time) and if I can't get back in the 11's, I'm going back to the 3.4 and 39 lb. injectors.

BTW before someone asks, I tried both Dynotune and JDM canned tune with similar results.

how many lbs of boost does the 3.2 pulley make?

regardless of traction, since you lost 2-3mph, something isn't right. What are your plugs gapped at? What is your fuel pump duty cycle? Were you using pump gas?--perhaps car is pulling timing?

he's running gt500 pumps so duty cycle should be pretty far from max , and unless he's sneaking in some good stuff it's on 93

btw dude that's some crazy shit lol ..... just another reason I will never buy a bike

Won't let me multi quote for some reason:
Stkjock, yes tune is set for changes made to the car. both dynotune and JDM canned tune.

psfracer: I was showing 9.7 lbs. boost with the 3.2 pulley, GT500 fuel pumps are in the 70% range so I don't think there is a problem there, fuel pressure gauge looks good throughout the runs.
running 93 octane, 1/4 tank. always fill at the same station for 2+ years now without ever having any issues.
Plugs are gapped at .032 (Autolite HT0's with about 14,000 miles and cleaned fairly regular)
DA for best run last night was 1581 and ran a [email protected]

May be going back out Sat. night with new M&H 325's and a new set of plugs, try to trouble shoot what's going on.

My highest trap was 107.77, so I dunno... I had problems of my own so I decided to go home early since I couldn't get any better than a 2.05 60'.

dam, that bad, eh.

What tires are you running?

Sounds like a tuff night, and w/ cool(ish) conditions forecasted... I know alot of people made it out expecting better.

Hope to catch ya'll at SCR or NPR later this month... HOPEFULLY cooler!!

OK been doing some research, and this is what I'm thinking MAY be the problem with shitty times.
when I added the 3.2 pulley I used the same belt I was using with the 3.4 pulley BUT when I did the install I added the Saleen 74mm idler pulley.
right now I have the GATES belt 061075 that should be correct for both supercharger pulleys.
With the Saleen Idler pulley, that puts my belt just over 1/2'' too long for the setup.

SO weather permitting Sat. I'll have a shorter belt to put on the car to see if that is actually the problem. If so Monday I'll find another 90mm idler pulley to replace the 76mm Saleen idler.

that could possibly be the problem. some belt slippage may be occurring. what psi are you seeing with the 3.2 vs the 3.4? i would imagine the 3.2 would give you about 2psi more.

On the dyno we were seeing 8.4 with the 3.4 pulley, with the 3.2 we would see 9.7 but that wasn't pulls on the same day either.

OK after trying to find a Gates belt that is a 1/2"shorter than what I have NO DICE.

Called a local FORD dealer looking for a 90mm idler pulley, they have 2 in stock and the best part is it's actually cheaper than buying a belt.
