I thought you guys might like to see my custom third brake light set up. I started with a red LED Pony emblem from X-Lume which came in black chrome and was then treated to a light mist of black pearl to darken it down a bit.
Fitting it so it looked factory was challenging and in the end I settled on a block of ally which was CNC milled to take the Pony and to allow for the curvature of the hood, this was bonded to some steel and a corresponding hole cut out around the existing brake light, final finishing and painting etc. It looks great and generates a lot of interest. In case anyone is wondering about the unusual license plate, I'm in the UK.
