Has anyone ever used any brand of instant detailer to spray the car down with before drying for some extra shine? If so what were the results?

Duragloss "Aquawax"

Works amazingly well but I would use it sparringly as it will actually coat your paint almost like a wax. Looks really good though.

Non-boutique: I like Lucas Slick Mist. Also works well when sprayed while the car is still wet prior to drying. Nice to do in-between waxes.

The Lucas Slick Mist is really good stuff. You can use it on your windows and all plastic trim pieces. I've been using it for about a year now and really like it.

The reason I ask is because I did this before drying (like they instructed) with a Great white microfiber towel from Adams and it left a greasy film on the car. Now their response was that because it wasnt their product that was used with the towel is why I had this issue. The towel was brand new out of the box when this happen. Im just trying to get some input from anyone you does this on the regular since this was my first time using this method.

Most detail sprays will streak in high humidity and heat. If you're wanting to use adam's products, I'd use their waterless wash for this purpose.

Agreed,I just knew somehow that the response I recieved was going to be that it happened because it was not a Adams product like they instructed. Im all for trying it again, this time without the detailer.

Hmmm Eshine carries this, might have to give it a try.

It is one of the better QD's I've used. Finish Kare was actually developed by Barry Meguiar's brother. The company was recently sold.

Prima Slick is the best QD I've used. It's not a bad price from Autowerkes when you buy 3+1 Free. I don't ever QD as I dry since I use the Master Blaster, only after it's completely dry which is later that night.

I always use Optimum Car Wax (it's a spray) as a drying aid and sometimes as my only LSP if it's just a weekend wash+wax. The instant detailer works great, but the added protection from the wax is a plus in my book.

I have mixed feelings about the Detailer. I use it with great results on non black vehicles. It makes my GF's Xterra (Charcoal) shine like new money. But I didn't like it on the Black Mustang. Haven't tried it on the Black Jeep yet, that I can remember. I may go play with it some today and do some testing, again. I know for sure it's not one that you can use on a hot car.

i use adams detail spray before i dry all the time and have nothing but great results...it depends on how hot/humid it is outside also...that's more than likely why you got the streaking...but i do know that when you mix certain products they tend to react crazy with eachother, and that's probably what the person from adams meant...but try it again and see what happens...i'd stay out of 80+ degree weather while doing it though
