ok just raced my first bracket with in the dead heat, summer is bout to begin and get worse. I was having problems hooking all day, some passes better than others but all Crap compared to my hookage before this blistering hot day.

I normally run 17 psi in my M&H Drag Radials and I've gotten a best of 1.790 I tried the same psi and i couldnt manage better than 1.98 i tried lower it, worse, tried upping it worse.?!

any tips for when the track gets super hot, it was about 89 outside and sunny. should i run the same psi? When its hot out do u up the pressure or lower it? :hi:

damn i think i just figured it out, i was always doing big burnouts in the fall and i did the same thing in this hot day and i most likely just need a small burnout when the track is hot.. urgh.

From what I understand, it should be easier to hook up on a hot track...rubber softens in heat allowing better traction...

Not true. Once the track temps get too hot, the track gets greasy and it's as bad as a cold track.

What track?

Were there a bunch of street tire cars running?

What is your pinion angle?

What springs are on the car?

Were you lining up in the same spots?

What was the track prep like?

What is your pinion angle? Stock

What springs are on the car? Stock

Were you lining up in the same spots? Yes, i tried both lanes

What was the track prep like? No Clue, prob not great lets say average at best.

Yup....about what I figured. No suspension work, manual transmission, inexperienced driver, mediocre track prep. Not trying to bash you here but you just need more seat time and possibly some suspension work to make the car consistent.
