with a jet, that is really nothing to new. a good flat bottom with a decent engine and some seat time, you can do that pretty easily. my uncle and turn one sideways at around 60 and ride it. its pretty sick.

we did the Hell Gate jets the day before our wedding. there are on the rouge river in southern oregon. it was just like that, but with a bigger boat, and there was two of them doing it at them same time. it was awseome.

doing that on the water is so much fun. I used to be able to do a "540 spin out" on our jetski before my mom sunk it. :(

wtf I dind't know boats had such control, it's water!! lol
they must have some huge rudders under there.
90 degree turn in water?? WFTTTTTFTFTF?

No rudders on jetboats. When you steer, it literally angles the jet in that direction so you get an instant directional change in propulsion. That's how they turn so well.

edit: crud, i double posted.

I have been on that jet boat ride too. Pretty awesome and they come very close to the rock faces. A few years ago someone stuck their head out to get a better picture and was killed when their head hit the rock face. Always a moron out there.

I wasnt paying attention to the opening slide so I missed where it mentioned New Zealand. But as I watched I thought, "Thats gotta be New Zealand" which makes sense since its where this:

was invented which has been posted on here before for those who werent aware boats could do shit like this.
