Good Morning from NJ and Thanks for the assistance. I recently purchased a 2005 Mustang V6/Manual convertible and spent the winter going over the entire car. I believe the car was left in a salt water environment which left some "crunch" on the rear axle and suspension components but all has since been replaced and we're almost ready to go. Its a fun car with good potential. I just realized the driveshaft u joints are not serviceable so I guess I need to buy a new one. It has 4 mounting bolts on each side with the expandable joint in the middle. I'd rather a steel version to keep the cost reasonable. Any suggestions of brands and choices. Thank you Ed C

I went with Ford Performance 3.50-Inch Aluminum One-Piece Driveshaft (05-10 Mustang GT),not sure they have one for your model/year.
