FWIW

My girlfriends dad just bought a wrecked srt8, straightened it out, cut off exhaust resonators, stripped pretty good ie ALL of trunk back seat speakers, carpet, insulation... Weight last night w/ 1/4 tank is 4007lbs at local truck stop.

Last weekend bone stock with radials 13.63, 2.3 60ft at 106mph
This week, about 300lbs lighter, Diablo canned 93 tune, and 20" Nitto drag radials.... Ill let ya'll know

I've added 4.56 gears, elec. water pump, line-lock, and battery in trunk just this week.

Ill post video next week

floormats, dammit! Thanks... keep 'em comming!!

I'd guess a good 100 pounds. Going with a 1/4 tank instead of a full tank would prob save a 100 pounds too. Mounting the battery in the trunk would help a lot too.

Bogarts FTW!!
Yea those would prob save a good 100 pounds. Also getting a light weight racing seat. Other than that I guess you'd have to get carbon fiber hood and body panels.

Floor mats? seriously? The couple of lbs you save isn't worth getting your carpet filthy. My matts are always trashed after a night at the track.

Montreal Qc,
I'm sorry but I laugh when I see people missing 1/2 the interior to gain 1/10th of a second at most.
