Lethal performance has the harness and fpdm. The 2010 kit uses a diff fuel sender setup. Go to lethal site click on 05-09gt then fuel and u will find what u need.

Are you referring to the 2010 GT 500 or the 2010 GT? I have a 2010 GT and just installed a GT 500 fuel pump this weekend with the only issue being the wiring for the fuel gauge...so I don't understand what you mean by a different fuel sender unit..?

If you bought a 2010 fuel pump assembly, like I almost did last week, you will not be able to use it as is with an '05-09 fuel gauge. Like it was posted earlier, the sending unit (which is part of the pump assembly that is attached to the float arm) reads a different ohm range for the 2010+ that does not work with the gauges in the earlier car. The pumps will work, you just won't have a functional gas gauge.

The wiring issue listed elsewhere is a different issue all together relating to Ford putting pins in the wrong place on the harness and changing wire color on some of the harnesses relating to the fuel sending unit wiring.

As far as I have been able to find, there is only one vendor (Lethal Performance) that sells a wiring harness with FPDM without the pumps. I have found another vendor that agreed to sell me a spare harness and FPDM, but without the correct pump assembly I passed. If you want, you can PM me and I will tell you who it was.

I do not know if you can swap the sending unit from the stock assembly to the GT500 assembly to correct the sending unit issue, and frankly for the money it seemed to me like a bad idea. You may want to check it out though if you already have a '10 assembly.

The fuel pump/wiring harness I bought was from an 07 GT 500 so I assume I am ok?

Well, if you are using the '07 pump in the 2010 car the gauge is not supposed to work correctly.

According to both TillmanSpeed and JDM, the gauge/sending unit in the 2010 is not supposed to be compatable with the '05-'09 kits/cars.

Does your fuel gauge act right? I would expect based on what the shops said that putting the earlier sending unit in would cause the gauge to read high since (again according to the above shops) on the earlier cars the 2010 sending unit reads 1/2 a tank when it's full, then drops off erratically.

Cool if yours works. It certainly adds to the confusing Ford engineering practices.

Did you modify the fuel pump assembly or the float in any way?

No, my gauge does not read correctly but I assumed that was due to the wrong wires being hooked up which is why I asked for a wiring diagram in the chit chat section...when you mention the 2010 are you talking about the 2010 GT 500 or the 2010 Mustang GT?

I did not modify anything, I pulled the stock fuel assembly out of the tank, put the GT 500 assembly in and used the GT 500 wiring I received with the GT 500 fuel assembly.

Sorry Greg,

I am refering to the GT500 fuel pump assembly with the part numbers listed in another post in this thread. when referring to the cars I am speaking of the GT and GT500 since the gauges in the same year range are the same.

The issue, which you just confirmed, is the 2010+ GT/GT500 fuel gauge and the 2005-2009 GT/GT500 fuel gauge work differently and require the sending unit from the proper year range (which is part of the GT500 dual fuel pump assembly) to function.

In other words, you have to match the fuel pump assembly year range to the car year range.

Did that help?

Saleen sells the harness by itself for 125.00

Cool I missed that one.

Please note the Saleen harness is different from the FRPP harness, and requires more effort to install (splicing and some work at the under hood fuse panel). Check the install instructions online for the differences to make an informed decision.

Even though I have a Saleen, in this case my personal opinion is that the FRPP harness is superior.

What is this talk about Ford mislabeling sender wires and stuff? I just installed my fuel kit and I noticed my electronic gauge says 0 and my gauge cluster is red (low fuel) I wired it per instructions from Ford. My stock sender worked fine. Can someone point me to the wiring stuff discussed?

Looks like the gauges arent gonna work reading this greg. Even when we get it hooked up right, looks like ford fucked all kinds of things up as far as wiring goes for 2010.

I find it hard to believe that I am the first 2010 GT to go through this, how have other people with 2010's gotten around this?
