I've got a 2013 gt convertible, I want to upgrade from stock but worried it would be too loud for when the top is down.
What are the drop top guys running on their cars for aftermarket axle back exhaust? Thanks for any help

Moved, this is not tech here, please review the rules.

Also, check out the corsa exhaust set ups.

Welcome to the forum! I have the Roush axle backs with no other exhaust mods, and it sounds perfect to me. It's definitely not quiet though, and my car is a coupe, so

Did you have to use the Roush lower valance? Or is that only a requirement with the square tips.

I went with the Flowmaster Outlaws and have really enjoyed them. Even with the top down I have had no issues sound wise. I have held conversations, been on the phone, listened to music.

When searching, there were a lot of reviews and comments on the outlaws that they are a really loud option. I actually don't find them to be that loud and I can easily keep them quite or open them up to have some aggressive sounds. It could be that I drove some cars in the past that were monstrously loud so I have grown accustom to it.

Run open manifolds. The reason an exhaust is so loud in a convertible is that it comes out the back and doesn't have anything in the way to get back to your ears. Open manifolds will end under the car by the firewall, giving a layer of sound insulation.
