Well what I am asking here is since all of my other mods are useless, would an 8.8 be a step in the RIGHT direction.

Why mess with the cost of a swap and you don't even have worthwhile power being put down yet? Priorities my friend.

If you intend on a turbo or nitrous, spend that huge chunck of change first and then go from there.

When I got my car, put the blower on it, and began drag racing, I made a list of my performance stumbling blocks and the appropriate upgrades to address them. I tried to be methodical and took into account the entire drivetrain and suspension. I took the weakest link and fixed it, then moved to the next weakest link. Took me about 6-7 months to get into the 11s with barely 400RWHP.

Decide what your goals are, then look at what you need to meet them. Make a budget and prioritize your mods based on return per dollar as well as addressing the 'weakest link'. You can subdivide your mods into engine, transmission/drivetrain and suspension. Decide how far you're willing to go before you begin spending money so you minimize wasting dollars on mods that will need to be replaced in 6 months. Having a plan will help you avoid wasting dollars on completely unnecessary mods such as ignition coil packs.

Well after what you said, I thought I should cancel the order, which I intend to do tomorrow morning. But I still need a tune up lol. So oem ignition will work?

Man, if you are hell-bent on building up your V6 rather than trading it for a GT, then don't spend another dime on any bolt ons. Hang on to you money and start saving up for a blower, turbo, or nitrous kit.

I love my car so trading isn't an option. I know it will take more money To get good power out of it but the faces on GT owners will be priceless when it's just a V6.

Yeah but the high flow cats! :) lol.

I guess i would not be impressed if I got beat by a guy that spent twice as much money on his car than what i spent on mine.

Please. Your better off in there.

Nothing wrong with loving what you got, and being full of piss and vinegar!

Skwerl has a good plan. If you go F/I, keep your eyes open for a deal on an 8.8. You might be able to recoup some money from your axle in one piece vs gears spit out the back. Just remember that recouping money out of a modded V6 is even worse than a V8. Good luck!
