It is "SO" bad that I almost traded in my brand new 2011 Mustang GT with less than 700 miles on it for my "OLD" car.

This shifter is the worst thing I have ever used in my 30 years of driving.

the only thing i can say is that for Daily drive the car that shifter is kind of hard and very hard to put in gears if you just want to cruise. Now for drag the shifter engage in the gears with no problem, it feels like the shifter is attracted into the gears.

I love how it's the best shifter to ever come in a Mustang, one of the best factory efforts of any car...

Until an aftermarket replacement is offered, at which point suddenly it's a piece of shit, can't-shift-for-nuttin' shifter.

Aahhhh, capitalism.

I thought the shifter in the 2011 was a light years ahead of my stock Cobra shifter, stock camaro shifter and my stock '01 bullitt shifter.

I will still buy an aftermarket one though so I can be cool.

I really suck driving my new car. I can't wait until new shifters come out for these cars. However, i will probably wait for MGW.

Any shifter is good when its all soft like a honda driving normal or granny shifting. But power shifting for real these stock shifter from 05-up all suck a good bit compared to the internal rail shifters of the older cars. Borderline hot dog in a hallway.

Bingo! Makes no sense lol! When you're flooring it you never miss a shift, but if you're trying to just casually go from 1-2, it's a battle sometimes! I still like it as whole though.

Are there any videos of this shifter that aren't of prototypes? Perhaps before/after videos?

We just got the new shifter in stock. No video but got pics side by side. Noticable difference.

got mine in like 30 min after the fed ex guy dropped it off

just like the previous guy said if your power shifting you cant miss second or third and its just takes it like a hooker as hard as you give it, lol. For daily driving i like the stock one better, and i had to take it apart a couple of times to get the reverse lockout right but good improvement.
