Not the perfect day to dyno, but I got her done.

97 deg outside, with the usual Louisiana humidity lol. Needless to say she was heat soaked by the time we got are finished.

It's basicly a forged, stock cubic inch, low compression "8.7:1" motor with stock cams, stock heads with upgraded valve springs, novi 2200 and some bolt-ons. 5R55s with PTC 3800 stall and 3.73 gears

She made 20 lbs of boost at 6000 RPM. We have 19 deg of timing at 5800 RPM and taper down to 17 by 6000 RPM

final numbers were 516 RWHP. torque was in the 450 to 460 range, I can't remember lol. I figure when shes not heat soaked it around 530 to 540 at the wheels. I think with the right cams I could get really close to 600 RWHP, but I just want to drive her for awhile.

Track times coming real soon

Wes and Benjy both tuned it. Mustang dyno. 5 hour tuning session, 3 hours of accually pulling. the car was badly heat soaked. We may make a pull soon just to see what it will make not heat soaked.

I'm def. enjoying it. we tuned it last weekend and I've been driving it all week.

Yeah, I say that don't look right to me either. I'm at 485 all stock with my paxton 2200. Torque is 440. He's got a fuel system, 60lb injectors, and a 8 rib setup.... If that's the case no fucking way I'm gonna spend all that money and only get an extra 31rwhp!!!! So I say something ain't right. There's a guy on here with a small Paxton and he's doing more than that. OP I think your car should be alot more.

he has a 302 ci motor vs. my 281 CI motor. that in it's self makes a massive difference. He has a FRPP intake manifold vs. my stock one. He has cams vs. my stock cams.

If i had all those I would have WWWAAAAAYYYYYYY more horse power than I do now. Remember this, my car was heat soaked. It's more likely to be 530 to 540 RWHP

Not trying to start a great debate, just sharing my results fellers.

P.S. my setup made 580 RWHP when I had BBR Stage 2 cams and an unfinished tune

no debate here. Just figured it would be more considering you have a 2200, fuel system, and etc. What do you think you would have been at if you would've done the stroker, frpp intake, and cams?

Well...before everyone starts screaming that he should be making more power...

Sounds about right to me considering those factors.

Enjoy it!

Um...20#'s should be ALOT higher...
I'm in Alabama where the humidity is just as bad. I got tuned in @ 10psi and made 483/456. Thats stock block/heads. I understand the heat and all will affect it much, but he should be over 600. A buddy of mine had a saleen sc with 16psi and dyno'd at 593 I believe as well

I hope to god you were badly heat soaked and belt slipping or something. Thats just above my numbers with a Procharger making 10lbs of boost. Around 6200RPM's my car made 12lb of boost and was at 520whp. Although I never push my car to that point.

That's all I was getting at too. I'm on 10psi with nothing but delete plates and am right at 500. I feel he too should be over 600. Oh, and I live in Memphis where it's hot as hell also.

+1 something doesn't seem right. Do you have dynosheets with the AFR?

Heatsoak can definitely effect power, but with 20 psi you should net more than that.

Also he was on probably the greediest Mustang Dyno ever made.

This is a true statement! My car only showed 402 on this same dyno yet runs 10.8's at almost 126 mph. You guys get way to hung up on dyno numbers, as there are quit a few people on here who's cars make 500 to 600 hp on a dyno, yet their ET and trap speeds which are in the 100 teens to low 120's which indicates much less power. Dynos can be made to show numbers whereas trap speed is a true indicator of hp. I say take it to the track and see how it runs as that is what really matters.

Just curious what would those numbers be behind a manual instead of an auto?Anybody have a ballpark figure.

I'll get him to send me the dyno graph. A/F was 11.3 went to 11.8 at 5800 rpm. that's why we pulled back the timing on top.

car feels like a rocket. i'm thinking low 11's to hi 10's even in this heat
